ThunderMax Throttle-By-Wire Testimonial Received: 07/30/2010
I got the ThunderMax TBW for my 2008 FLHTP® with Rinehart® True Duals and K&N® Air Filter. I did the ThunderMax install myself and wrote the base map with no trouble at all. Pete Stewart at Zipper’s Performance gave me a start on the base map and I massaged the parameters. WOW! All kinds of torque and smooth as glass! Midrange power is outrageous, just like a whole new bike! ThunderMax is the only way to go with the AutoTune for bikes with O2's. It's a MUST buy for Harley-Davidsons®!

ThunderMax Received: 07/28/2010
I recently purchased the ThunderMax ECM from Pat Little. He told me how easy it was to install and have the bike up and running in a short period of time. I, also, installed a set of D&D 2 into 1 headers at the same time. It was everything they said it would be and more. I now have a smoother idle, less heat from the rear cylinder, and much better throttle response. The ThunderMax map from Zipper’s Performance was dead-on. I'm looking forward to a couple more up grades I have planned, and how easy the mapping will be once they're done. Great Product! Thanks!

Freedom Cycle in Delaware highly recommended the ThunderMax ECM, over any competitive product including the factory performance map. As such, I agreed to remove the stock ECM and my other aftermarket tuner from my 2001 Softail® Deuce®. When I got back on the bike and headed back to PA, I literally thought it was a different bike!!! UNBELIEVABLE! The throttle response is amazing, the idling is very smooth and my gas mileage improved. The exhaust sound is much richer and sharper. Absolutely well worth the investment and I recommend anyone looking for a vast performance improvement to purchase the ThunderMax. Thanks ThunderMax and Freedom Cycle!!!

ThunderMax Throttle-By-Wire Testimonial Received: 07/19/2010
I got the ThunderMax on Monday and, because of my work time, could not get it installed until Sunday. I am so happy with the ThunderMax EFI AutoTune! It does everything you guys said it would do! The bike runs strong in every gear, 1 thru 6.
I took my bike to the Harley® shop today to get a new rear tire. When the shop foreman road the bike on a test drive, he was so impressed with the difference that he just wanted to keep riding it! Before the ThunderMax, my bike was not picking up on the throttle in 2nd and 3rd, but NOW you can’t hold it back! The bike accelerates quicker, starts better, and runs cooler.
I can’t begin to tell you how great it runs! It is crazy how much of a difference there is in performance! This winter, I am going to go to more cams and port the heads. This bike will climb trees if you want it to! I should have done this a long time ago on other Harleys® I have owned. This was one time this biker got what he paid for. The ThunderMax is a great product!!
Thanks, Pete at Zipper’s, for all your help! Happy riding and be safe, thanks!

Testimonial Received: 07/12/2010
I purchased a full Zip Kit for my 2010 CVO Convertible from Zipper's. The sales staff and support staff were very knowledgeable and friendly.
I was pretty happy with the bike before the modifications, but it now performs the way I thought it should with a motor like the 110. It runs much cooler and pulls with authority from the git-go. It took a little over six hours to get everything on the bike (first time I worked on a motorcycle), but the work was not difficult or terribly time consuming. With the directions given for the ThunderMax, even that portion of the install went smoothly.
I've ridden a little over two hundred miles since the install and believe that the bike just keeps getting better. Whether that is me being more comfortable or the AutoTune doing its work, I don't really care. I just know that the bike I now ride is what I was originally looking for in the CVO.
Thanks for everything, guys!

ThunderMax Throttle-By-Wire Testimonial Received: 07/05/2010
Here is the real scoop - I put the new TBW ThunderMax on my ‘08 Ultra®. The difference is night and day! It was all I expected it to be. The selling factor to me was the fact that my wife's Softail® Springer® with a ThunderMax was putting all of us with the 96” bikes in the dust.
I removed my other aftermarket tuner and put on the ThunderMax myself. Good choice! Now, my wife can not ride off and leave me. The other guys we ride with are looking at tail lights from both of us, even with their other aftermarket tuning devices. A friend accused me of putting a big inch kit on my bike, since I could not run with them when I had the other tuner installed. Now, I run with and pass him!
Thanks guys - keep up the good work. Be looking for some phone calls on more orders as more people find out the real art of performance is ThunderMax!

I am very happy with the ThunderMax I installed on my ‘09 Dyna® Super Glide®. I had installed a 107” kit and Andrews 31 cams. I already had a “piggy-back” tuner installed prior. I had contacted the “piggy-back” tuner tech support and they said that they were unable to help me. Zipper’s Tech Support was more than helpful each time that I contacted them! I have recommended Zipper’s Performance and their products to everyone I know with Harleys®. Once again, Thank You all very much!

I just installed (did it myself) Rinehart® True Duals, Screaming Eagle® Air Cleaner and the ThunderMax with AutoTune. I went for a test ride and noticed a slight decel pop on 3rd gear. Two days later, I went on a long ride with a buddy who has an Electra Glide® and while doing 85 mph, I opened the throttle. The bike jumped forward like it had a second wind, very impressive! I like this product and the best part...no $250 on dyno. The decel pops are gone for good!

I installed the TBW ThunderMax on my ‘08 FLHP, which is a 103" engine with head work, cams and a 2 into 1 exhaust. I told Zippers this info and they sent me my new ECM with a base map that they felt was close, and the AutoTune did the rest. The bike runs FANTASTIC with no need to dyno, just ride it. Installation was fairly simple. Fuel mileage is better, throttle response is better, all in all everything is better!

I have been frustrated with my 2008 CVO® Ultra® Classic® nearly from day one. It never felt like it was 110 cubic inches. Since the ThunderMax, my bike feels like it has more torque then ever. The power band is smoothed out and the bottom end that caused the need to constantly feather the clutch is gone completely. So far over 600 miles and counting!

I removed my exhaust and installed the D&D Fat Cats - a clean set up eliminating all those brackets for a clean look. I selected the base map, loaded it and followed the instructions. Then I went for a ride… The ThunderMax and Fat Cat combination is great. No popping down hill and between shifts. What a great sound! Acceleration was right on and smooth.
The ThunderMax and D&D exhaust really go well together.

ThunderMax Throttle-By-Wire Testimonial - April 29, 2010
I stopped by my house on Saturday just to e-mail you and let you know who pleased I am with the map that you and your team put together. When I got a chance to really get on it (ThunderMax) all I kept saying was “WOW! That thing took off like a rocket”.
My bike is night and day from what it was like when I dropped it off to you. My buddy was ridding behind me when I cracked open the throttle. He just shook his head and smiled, and said “Now, that’s how a Harley should sound and perform”. The Cam work almost gives it that good old carburetor sound while idling.
I want to thank you and your team once again for all the hard work you did.
PS. Let me know when I can buy the ThunderMax for my boss.

ThunderMax Throttle-By-Wire Testimonial - April 27, 2010
Last week I had you overnight a ThunderMax, so I would have it for my trip from Key West to Leesburg, FL for the Bikefest there… You know, over the years there is one thing I definitely learned about modifying a motorcycle - never do it the day before you leave. I don't know what got into me, but I broke that rule!
The unit worked as it was supposed to on the way up there and while running about the event. Then, on the critical ride home, I came to this conclusion about your product: Not only was I surprised about your client relations work, but the ThunderMax I installed actually worked beyond all my expectations and then some!!!
Clearly, this one of the best choices I've made! Thanks for having such an excellent product and for it working exactly as it was supposed to. The acceleration was perfect, as well as no hesitation. Deceleration was also very smooth. The power has slightly increased but best of all was the fuel management results. ThunderMax is an excellent and highly recommended product for my 08 FLHTCU 105th anniversary touring bike.
Totally happy!

I have a 117 inch motor that has had me frustrated, spending money for repairs no one could fix. I lost riding time. It would shut off, stall, idle erratically, backfire, was hard to start and had me to the end of my sanity! I read about and studied the ThunderMax, purchased it, installed it and (after two years of poor riding) I can ride feeling my engine’s power. Every one of those issues is gone! The ThunderMax saved my bike that I have over 40 grand in. Thank you so much. I am overwhelmed with the performance of this awesome system.

I will try and keep this as short as possible... You guys are the best by far. I can not say enough about the customer service I received from Mark Emery when ordering and the outstanding service I received at this years Bike Week.
I came to you with a bike that I could not get to run properly. You guys were balls to the wall with installs and still took the time to help me out with two problems that were not at all related to your ECM. Rob was great to work with. No condescending attitude, no snide remarks just good old fashion courtesy. Not an easy thing to find these days. I was also very impressed with his knowledge of fuel injections systems and how quickly he found the unrelated problems.
I have both the H-D® EFI Race Tuner and a Dynojet® Power Commander®. Nether one of them compare to your product. In all fairness, the H-D® tuner may be a good product but you need a degree from H-D® in order to use it. In my opinion, nether one holds a candle to your product. From the simplicity of installation to the Prepare and Send, Module Data E-mail functions. It's like having your own personnel ECM tech. You just can't get any better then that!!
To all of you looking at this feed back page, you will not be disappointed in this product.

It’s like riding another bike with power! My first ride with the ThunderMax installed was in the mountains, with my girlfriend on the back. I usually have to shift down to fifth gear-no more! The back firing is gone. I put the ThunderMax on a FatBob in about two and half hours. I could do the next bike in half the time. The manuals made installing the ThunderMax very simple. Thanks ThunderMax!

Thunder Max is everything they say and more, but the best part of the purchase is the SUPPORT from the Tech Team at Zippers. These guys are FANTASTIC, less than 24 hours for a response, usually within a few hours and nothing you ask is too much for them to solve! I wish other companies would take a page from the Zipper’s customer service book! You guys ROCK! All of this and my bike runs better than ever. ThunderMax increased my torque and performance, lowered my running temperature and even increased my mileage. WHAT A DEAL, WHAT A PRODUCT, WHAT SERVICE!

I own a 2003 Road King with an injected 124” engine built from mostly S&S components. Anyway, the builder that assisted me in this swap insisted on the Race Tuner and needless to say, after one whole season of problem after problem, I installed the ThunderMax with the AutoTune module. With a couple of easy calls to Zippers, I was literally “Haulin’ Ass” down the road getting 43 mpg. THANKS ZIPPERS!!!

Just wanted to take a moment to let you know how pleased I am with your product. I was having an issue with my 2002 Night Train and I called your company and spoke to Bill; he was the most down to earth person I have ever spoken with and recommended that I go with the ThunderMax system with AutoTune. I have to be honest here and was very hesitant about spending close to $1000.00 dollars on a new fuel management system when there are numerous systems out on the market for well under half the price. Bill informed me that he was aware of my concern and offered me the option of returning the system if I was not completely satisfied with how the bike ran with the system installed.
The package arrived in the mail two days after I spoke with Bill and installation took just about 5 hours to complete; I also changed my air cleaner assembly and installed new pipes on bike at same time. I programmed the ThunderMax with and took out the bike for a test ride. Can you say hold on tight? I was sold on the unit ten minutes into the ride!! My 2002 Night Train ran better in those first ten minutes than it has for the past year!! Acceleration is much, much, better and throttle response is dead on. The pinging is gone and more importantly I can see that my oil temp in the same weather and temperatures is down at least 12 degrees from the previous stock system.
This bike rides great and I can attest to the fact that anybody running the above system will be extremely happy with the results!!

I got the ThunderMax installed and my wife and I went for a ride, about 110 miles. I couldn't be happier with the ThunderMax. This is the best money I've spent on the bike! Everything is perfect. I traded a 2003 Wide Glide for a 2009 Fat Bob in July. Loved the handling of the FatBob, but it ran very poorly - no power, ran lean and hot (the plugs were white instead of tan), idled erratic, backfired and popped on decel, required grinding on starter for 1 1/2 to 2 seconds to start (hot or cold)and vibrated so bad over 70 mph your feet would walk off the pegs… After taking it to the Dealer for the 1000 mile service, with the above complaints about the vibration and lack of power, they were not able to improve it. I was ready to return the bike and get my 03 Wide Glide back. I had talked to the ThunderMax rep at J&P Cycles open house, then researched on line and decided to try the ThunderMax. What a difference!!!!!!!
The very first time I rode the bike after installing, I was flabbergasted! “This couldn't be the same bike!” I now have over 2000 miles on the bike, and am totally sold on ThunderMax. This bike runs cooler, way stronger (pulls like a freight train from idle up), can't hardly let go of starter button and its running, vibration is totally gone (over 85 and smooth as glass), idles smooth and stable, now sounds like a Harley, plugs are nice tan color, on decel I now get nothing but a deep rumble with slight hint of a cackle, and nothing in it's size will run with it. When I first installed the system, I contacted Randy at ThunderMax tech assist and he was extremely helpful and professional. He knew exactly what he was talking about, is obviously very knowledgeable about the system, and didn't talk down to me.
I highly recommend a ThunderMax system (and their people), if you want your fuel injected Harley to run like it should, and wouldn't think twice before purchasing again.

I purchased a ThunderMax EFI System for my 07' Ultra Classic. The 07' Ultra had a terrible "ping" in 5th and 6th gear at around 3000 rpm. I tried a "piggy back" system (cheaper), which did not correct the problem. I was really frustrated. After 3 or 4 different opinions from 3 or 4 different Harley dealerships, I went to Thunderbird Motor Sports and they "matter-of-factly" told me to use your product. I had them install the new "brain" and can’t believe the results!
My Ultra now runs and performs the way I believe it should! I had it to 10,500 ft elevation and running at a variety of RPM's and your system worked. Only once did I detect the slightest "ping" and within a few seconds it was eliminated! At a mile high (I live in Denver area) it runs like a champ! I had my doubts that anything could fix my Harley, you all made me a believer.
Thanks!

I installed the ThunderMax with Auto Tune along with the Fat Cat 2 into 1 exhaust and high flow filter and loaded the base map listed best for my combination (88 Cubes Stock 2002 Road King). Ran the IAC Auto and went riding. I have to say this product is awesome! No more decel pops, no more rough running when cold, and in perfect tune at any rpm and any speed. I have never ridden a Harley that was as close to perfect tune as this bike is and I've had many from knuckles to pans to shovels. I have not written an custom map set from the module yet but plan to soon (not that you could get this bike to run any better) to see what changes the Auto Tune had to make to the original mapping.
I have purchased another for my V Rod and I am sure it will work just as well as the one I wrote about.
Thanks for a great product and ride safe,

Just want you to know how impressed I am with the ThunderMax system! As you know, I am computer illiterate. For years I have avoided working on fuel injection systems. And after working with other systems, I have found them to be, well, junk. You can't get peek power from them. After doing extensive engine work, to only to come up with 70 horses... Well, that's very depressing. After installing the first ThunderMax at my own expense, I am here to tell you that I will never do another injected bike with out a ThunderMax. This system is the most simple thing to install, and it did everything that you said it would. I am impressed. Every time you restart the engine the bike runs better and better.
As you know, I have been writing for Iron Horse. When I install the next system, I will do an article on the ThunderMax, and let the readers know how good the system is and how easy it is to install. Thanks for personal service.

I can't thank you guys enough for all the help and support over the past 3 years. I own a 2006 Dyna Wide Glide that has had extensive head work. I have had the S.E. Needless to say, I am a very satisfied customer.

I got my ThunderMax on Monday afternoon. The install took about an hour. Programming and initializing the ThunderMax was very straightforward. I have ridden approx 150 miles and the ThunderMax is much MORE than I expected. Starting is effortless and almost instantaneous. The engine is much smoother from idle to redline. Unbelievable performance change!
The ThunderMax with AutoTune made me realize the potential my motor had, that I could never achieve before. I know tuning will continue to get better the more I ride and can’t wait to put more miles on it. I will be happy to tell anyone what a great product this is. Thanks again!!

It all started December 2007... I'd been riding for a full year and I knew I never wanted to be a passenger again. My modified XL 883 (I'm 5'0' and 100lbs so my husband had some lowering to do) was just right...well almost. I was always at the back of the pack. Those long rides cruising at 75-80 were not working for the 883 and God forbid if I had to pass anyone while in 5th gear. I needed more power.
In comes the crew at Zipper's Performance. I dealt solely with Pete Stewart, who is great. Not only did he always have an answer (and within 24 hours of my calls or e-mails), he never once made me feel as though I was a uniformed girl. Some other companies I spoke to were not as "female rider friendly"... Thanks guys for having joined the 21st century.
I decided to upgrade to the 1200 EFI Torkster Kit with ThunderMax. When I got my 1200 Torkster back and broke it in, I was flat out amazed. I have so much power and it's effortless to keep up with all the big bikes now! How sweet it is! These guys have it all, technical genius (the internals of my new engine are a work of art) and AWESOME customer service. I can't say enough good things about Zipper's.....They are the BEST. I now proudly sport my favorite tee shirt, while I'm at the front of the pack, "You have just been passed by a Sportster".

I purchased a ‘07 Fatboy in September ‘08. I was just going to put on a hi flow air cleaner and Vance and Hines staggered duals but my salesman at Southeast H-D in Cleveland said I had to watch out… I might lose my low end power with the duals and might have to get a tuner. I research different websites and chat rooms. Everyone raved about the ThunderMax. So, I bought it.
What a difference! I love the combo. It improved low end torque, the top end, and everything in between. The dealership service and mechanic guys were very impressed. I don't have to down shift all the time and the throttle response is phenomenal. Keep up the excellent work!

I was looking for an EFI setup for my 2009 Softail after I installed new pipes and air filter. The ThunderMax with AutoTune was plug and play, install (15 min.), load map, and drive. The AutoTune adjusts the A/F automatically. The software is very easy to use and enables the user to adjust almost all parameters of the ThunderMax. The ThunderMax is well worth the money. Great tech support, also.

Pete, ThunderMax is the most significant upgrade that I have made to my bike, it is a 95 cubic inch stage II, pipes are 2 into 1 it brings everything together. I had a power commander like so many of my friends, the ThunderMax has put an end to that foolish mistake, no more dyno runs necessary. The ThunderMax has more power throughout the complete RPM range, I cant believe how smooth it is. ThunderMax, hands down the best possible tuner. Ultimately a product is only as good as the people behind it and your technical support is PHENOMINAL!!! Forever a Zippers customer!

This is the best thing since sliced bread. I love this ThunderMax. I tried P.C. and it was ok. I had it on my 07 deluxe and when I got my 08, Harley changed all kinds of things. When I found out I could not use it on my 08, I was told to try out the ThunderMax. Tt was the best move! It did everything they said it would do! Any weather condition heat, cold, wet, dry, fast, slow, sea level, mountains - my bike runs perfect, always! And one more thing - my 08 is a six speed and I live in the mountains of western NC going up a 7 percent grade. I can ride in 6th gear at 45 mph, no kidding, just as smooth as a flat road. Try it - you will like it!

Hi - My name is Tom and I would like to share my experience with my 2008 V-Rod Special and my wife's 2007 V-Rod Night Rod. We didn't plan on doing much to these bikes. In the past, I used D&D pipes and was very pleased with them. I chose D&D 2 into 1 Fat Cats. The 1st bike was the 2004 with out a 02 sensor. Most people I spoke to encouraged me to get a power commander and dyno tune it. It helped a little, but it still had a major decell popping and ruff running at a slow speed. Then came the 2008 V-Rod. My major complaint for this bike was the pipes would turn cherry red at highway speeds. Even in its stock form right from the factory. This bike did have 02 sensors. So back to the dyno guy and another power commander and another $700.00. This power commander eliminates the 02 sensor. More decell, popping and very ruff warm ups. Disgusted and ready to sell the V-Rods. Did some research with Zippers, who installs ThunderMax ignition. Several months before Daytona '09 I spoke with Peter from Zippers about his product. He has some mighty big claims. We hooked up in Daytona and he installed his ThunderMax ignition into both bikes. The '08 bike was easier, because the 02 sensor bungs were already installed. The '07 was a little more work. The crew from Zippers removed the pipes and welded a set of bungs in right there at their trailer site. The 02 sensors were installed. The rest of the ThunderMax went in easy. The tech from Zippers after doing all their computer magic, they sent us on our way and told us to return after putting on some miles. The bikes ran awesome. We went back a couple days later and they dial them in closer. Better all the time. We went back one more time before bike week was over for a little more computer magic. The T-Max systems are awesome. The more you ride the bike the computer learns your riding style from the 02 sensor. It doesn't matter what the weather is or the climate is the computer is always updating. So anyone out there that has a new fuel injected Harley. Don't waste your money on old narrow band technology. The wide band T-Max will get more out of your bike then anything else...

I purchased the Thunder Max Digital Speedometer last year for my 05' Train, and what a difference in looks and style! Very easy hook up, and functions. I am very happy with it, thanks. In fact, I just had a friend of mine also purchase one after seeing mine.

I have an ‘01 Deuce that has been transformed into a monster! I purchased your ThunderMax when it first came out. Well, I picked ThunderMax for several reasons. One of was company credibility. Another was pride in products they market. I also purchased the Speedometer, which you don’t sell for deuce. With a little imagination, I made it work. Also, I love those features. I will be purchasing N.A.D.S. next. Thank you so much for making our lives a little easier.

All I have to say is that this system performs outstanding! So far this is the greatest purchase of the year and, after I get done tweaking this thing to my demands, I'm sure this grin I have will get even bigger! 1000 miles of road time and still going’! Phenomenal product any which way you look at it. Thank You Zipper's!

Just went for my first test ride. The difference is night & day. My bike runs like it never ran before. If a dufus like me can do it, anyone can! I think if I had a new Harley I would put a TM/AT on it. Thanks.

I can't believe how much better my bike runs. It is an '07 Ultra, and all of my heat problems are gone. I set the idle at 880 rpm and it sounds right and idles smooth. I enabled the decel fuel cut and that works perfectly also. Low speed drivability, low and high speed acceleration are all 100% improved. At cruise speeds it even sounds happier. That is the best bang for the buck I've ever seen.

I just had my 2007 Softail fitted with the 103” kit and cams. It has Vance & Hines and a hi-flow air cleaner, etc... I opted for the ThunderMax with Auto Tune unit as to avoid dyno-ing all the time and I liked the idea of the Auto Tune. WOW! No popping on back throttle, awesome power, response, smoothness, idle and sound! My bike is now twice as good as it ever was… I am totally impressed.

Installed this on my 2007 SE Ultra 110. Before the bike was excessively hot and the rear cylinder would ping and the bike would lose power. Since the ThunderMax and Auto Tune, the bike has excellent throttle response and power. Rode it in the 99 degree South Texas heat with no heat issues and excellent power! I installed the entire system in two hours (hardest part was replacing the NB-O2 sensors with the WB-O2 sensors). Very easy!

I just installed the ThunderMax on my 07 FLHX with Reinhart pipes and an Arlen Ness Big Sucker air cleaner. The setup was easy and my bike runs great. I love the fact that it has some balls now in 6th gear. The throttle response is great all through the rpm range and the sound is deep and awesome. I would recommend this product to everyone with fuel injection. I can't wait to get out on a road trip and put a couple thousand miles on it. Thanks Guys! Once again Zipper's comes through with great performance!

This isn't the same bike anymore. My buddy has a 2005 103ci CVO and I stay right with him with basically a stock 2006 Street Glide 88ci and true dual pipes and a SE Air Cleaner. I couldn't be happier. Having the Auto Tune is a huge plus living in Colorado. Riding fully loaded plus my girlfriend on the back in varying altitudes from 6,000 to 14,000 feet and having plenty of power is really nice for a change. The look on people's faces when a bagger takes off the way mine does is priceless. Thanks for such a great product and very knowledgeable support team when I needed it.

I purchased and had my Thunder Max EFI module installed at 2007 Daytona Bike Week by your crew at Bruce Rossmeyer's Daytona H-D vendor area. The service was great and the installation was done as scheduled. The first time I started my bike after the installation I noticed the difference. I have a 2002 classic with an H-D stage 2 big bore kit, Hi-flow air cleaner, V&H header pipes and Bassani true reverse cone megaphone mufflers. I had the H-D map programmed at the dealer but they couldn't get it right. Then they suggested I use a V&H Fuel pack or a Power Commander module but would not guarantee the results. After your installation I noticed pinging, popping and backfire was gone, acceleration is greatly improved, starts and idles better, it was a very good investment and would recommend this system. Thank for a great product that works.

I am very pleased with the product, it makes all my problems go away; Trust me, you need this product if you have a new 96 EFI with the 6 speed. The engine runs different, sounds different, I love the sound, and it even idled it down a bit. Every thing works great the only difference is the my alarm lamp light comes on for a few seconds after I star the engine, then goes out, not a problem and the alarm works fine. The ride however is wonderful...I can now run in 6th gear and not feel like I am lugging it. I can even go into it at a lower mph and fell good. I don't have to downshift to get up and go. I have more torque and can tell it. I also know in my mind that I am not running lean and the engine temp will be ok, I was so worried about that. I may or may not tinker with the Air Fuel tables for fuel mileage; it works too good like it is. I am now wondering what it would feel like if I purchased a higher flow air cleaner ( I would not have dared to do it with the lean running original computer on) This is no doubt best money I have or will ever spend on my Harley, it makes it worth the 23K I paid for it(the bike that is...LOL) As for the price of the ThunderMax......for what it has done for me and my happiness with my bike..............If I knew for sure what I know now, I would have paid more,........down right reasonable and a very must, like I said, for a 07 owner.

We put the units on both my husbands and my bike. They are no longer back firing- the increase in power is incredible in mine. Normally, I have a difficult time keeping up with my husbands Road King, but now I am right up with him. I have a 2006 Fatboy. The bikes sound awesome and run terrific. The best investment!!! Pete was so knowledgeable and the service team at Daytona was absolutely fantastic. Great job, great product and now great bikes.

Pete,
I received the ThunderMax (TM) yesterday and got it installed.
WOW, WOW, WOW.
I cannot believe the difference. Not that I was anxious to install it, but I spent an hour in 100+ heat to install it. It was the best hour I have spent on my bike so far…
I took it out and ran it under the normal conditions I had tried before.
In town, I no longer have to keep it (my bike) in a lower gear to keep the RPM up past 2600 (to keep it from lugging and to get good throttle response)! I can now
cruise around as low as around 1700 RPM and still have excellent throttle response. No more flat spots after 5800 RPM, either. Now it pulls strong all the way to
6200 RPM!
Cruising down the highway at 70MPH, I now roll on the throttle and get a nice gentle push back in the seat - before it just would labor unless I downshifted.
Now when I get off the throttle (no matter if it is on the highway, coming off an off ramp or slowing down for a stop light) no more rumbling and backfiring! Just
a nice purr! The exhaust even sounds totally different.
Before the plugs where white - I mean white as a new piece of paper! Now, well you already know the story, a nice light tan both front and back.
Am I happy? You bet I am, and this is only after just getting back from 50 miles in 94 degree heat. I am sure it is only going to get better.
Now, will I suggest the TM to others? "Hell Yes".
Will I be getting the update or the closed loop system when you announce it? "Hell Yes".
Will I be looking at other products that Zippers has?? "Absolutely."
Thank You for a great product and your help in getting a TM for my setup in a short period of time.

I purchased your Zipper's ThunderMax Magnetti Marelli conversion kit and have just gone over the 1,000 mile mark with the new system. I cannot
thank you enough for the improvements that this system has provided for my bike.
My bike is a 1999 R. K. with a S. E. 95" big bore, 203 cams and Bassani True Dual pipes. It's a great bike in every respect except for the old MM
throttle body and ECM. Prior to purchasing the Zipper's EFI, I had tried everything including the latest USB Power Commander and a few trips to a
Dyno tuner to try and get it right. My last dyno tuner said the old Magnetti Marelli system just has some inherit problems and that's why Harley
Davidson scrapped them after a few years.
With the old Marelli system I experienced erratic idle, deceleration popping, and very quick, uncomfortable deceleration when I let up on the throttle.
I was at my wits end and had even considered selling the bike.
Fortunately, I came across an article in Hot Bike magazine that reviewed your Magnetti Marelli conversion kit and showed how easy it was to do the
installation. The magazine gave it rave reviews so I called your tech support line to see if the system would solve my problems.
Installation was a breeze. I did have to remove the tank, but with the Harley manual and Zipper's instructions, I was able to get the job done in 6 hours.
In a nutshell, Zipper's conversion kit turned my bike into a whole new machine!
1. Deceleration popping is gone!
2. Deceleration is smooth, just like when you let up on the gas pedal in your car.
3. Idle is rock solid steady. Best of all, with the single barrel throttle body, I get the classic Harley loping idle. With the Marelli dual barrel throttle body, my bike's idle sounded like a car.
4. Finally, with the larger 50mm throttle body, I'm getting much better performance. My bike pulls hard and fast, and I'm still getting 40 MPG!
I could not be happier with the product and the technical support that Zipper's has provided!
Thank you, K.H. Marietta, GA 06-02-06

Gentleman: I am not going to sit here and reiterate what other testimonials on your website attest to, even though what they attest to is NO BS.
What I am gong to Attest to is that I have been riding and tinkering with motorcycles for 32 years most of which are or were Harley Davidsons. I ride
my bikes in a certain manner, as we all have our own way and style in which we ride. My 04 FLHTCI could not be ridden in the manner of which I am
accustomed to. I have been back to the dealer time after time with the same answers. Nothing is wrong. After a year of talking and researching products
on the market, I made the call to Zippers.
So We spoke about my issues. You guys took the time and explained your product in specific detail. What to expect, methods of support. So I ordered
a Thundermax ECM programed for my model bike and exhaust system. 22 hours later it was at my door. Went into the garage to do the install. I started
the bike took it for a short ride in the rain to warm it up, came back home as I was drying the bike off to do the install, i started the bike up and noticed
the first 4 to six inches of the exhaust system was glowing orange. I sat and watched it get hotter and hotter, So i picked up the phone and called the
dealer, they told me to bring it by and they would look at it. So needless to say I did not install the Thundermax ECM.
The next day I took the bike in to the dealer after about four hours of testing on the bike they told me that head temps are in normal range, the ECM has
the correct download and there are no intake leaks. The service manager ask if I could leave the bike there and try to figure out why the exhaust system
is glowing orange.
As I talked with the service manager I told him about the Thundermax ECM I just purchased and Its in my tourpack. He said lets take a look at it. I took
it out and handed it to him his first remark was that he was impressed with the quality of the Thundermax ECM as he held it in his hand and studied it.
We talked a bit, then I asked him if it would hurt anything if it was installed at this time. He said lets ask the head mechanic, we talked with him he felt
it would not hurt anything at this time.
He called over another mechanic and asked him to install the Thunder Max in my bike. The install took about 15 minutes. He started the bike let it idle
for a few and said go take it for a test ride. As soon as I let off the clutch I felt a noticeable difference.
The smoothness of the engine, throttle response, no backfire, even shifting became smoother. I drove back in to the service area and felt that even finding
neutral to be easier. We then let it idle for 10 minutes, the glowing of the exhaust was gone. The next day I put on about 150 miles on the bike. I cant tell
you how impressed I am with the Thunder max ECM.
I have put on a lot of performance products on my bikes over the years, but Nothing comes close to the Thundermax ECM. When you put a product on
the market that works beyond the expectations of a customer, It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that Zippers Have spent a lot of time and
money in researching and development on the Thundermax ECM and the guys at Zippers have a deep passion for motorcycle performance.
Thank you Zippers, it is guys like you who keep my passion for riding.

Hey Pete, how goes it? I just wanted to say thanks again for the awesome Thundermax EFI controller. I had my doubts at first when I walked over
to your tent and started looking at the Thundermax. In my mind I was trying to compare it to the Power Commander. After talking with you and having
the EFI controller installed on the bike and riding all weekend I must say by far this is the best buy I have bought for my Road King. The Thundermax
has made a real difference in the way my bike runs. Thanks for your help. I tell all my friends about the EFI controller so look out for phone calls.

Pete, Got my Thunder Max installed. Bought it with the map for a Hi flow air cleaner and Rhine Hart true dual pipes. It worked great for my 2005
Road King Custom with Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner, and Vance and Hines True Duels and stock mufflers with baffles taken out. It is like a new
machine. No pinging, and popping, like with the stock harley ECU and stage one load. I love this Thunder Max, I can slow up in top gear and hit it
with no Pinging and acceleration is much better. Checked my plugs, they are burning great, Dont even know if I need to make a trip to the Dyno.
Now I just hope I can find some sucker to buy my stock ECU.

With the install of Zipper's 120 muscle engine my 01 Screamin Eagle Road Glide absolutely smokes all current SE bikes that are hitting the road
even today! I set out to create a "sleeper" and with help from Zipper's that's exactly what I ended up with. For all you guys riding dressers imagine
the look on your buddies faces when you hit the gas and with everything right you go from first gear to second with only the rear tire on the asphalt.
More than once people have told me that seeing a dresser launch riding on one wheel is absolutely kick*#*! Thanks Guys!

Hi Pete, how are you?
I just came back from a trip throu southern Spain, it is wery similar to Arizona or Utah...I rode 4500 miles and I have to say one thing: bike runs
really really good even when we had air temperature of about 42-45 degrees celcius and an altitude range of 9000fts (beach--sierra nevada 3200mts
altitude difference)! I just wanted to let you know that I am really happy...but know I realize that I want also a big bore, throttle body and a headwork
done on my bike...next winter.
Thank you have a nice summer. Cheers, P.M., Giubiasco, Switzerland

Hi Pete,
Just a note to say thank you ever so much for all your help, and for a great product.
I installed the Thundermax EFI Controller on Friday afternoon June 3rd, and without a doubt it has to be the best thing since sliced bread. All kidding aside.
I'm finding that my Ultra has never run correctly since I had the modifications done to it. As you know my dealer had installed the H.D. EFI Race tuner, saying
that this would cure my problems; but it only made them worse, and then the dealer didn't have a remedy or a solution for it. As you are aware from my e-mail
and talking to my wife Michele, I was at wits end. Until I happened across your ad in the June issue of Thunder Press and sent you the email detailing what I
had done to the bike, and your response to that e-mail and your willingness to explain the many different questions to Michele who in turned told me. Then we
purchased your product. Wanted to tell you I had the dealer take the Race fueler out and when I rode it home the pinging and the back firing were back.
And now for a few comments on your product; the ease of installation was a breeze, the hardest part was removing the seat and disconnecting the battery.
The directions were very concise and straight forward. After the installation came the moment of truth, The throttle response is simply amazing, and it doesn't
seem to matter which gear you happen to be in, it just responds. No pinging, no backfiring no matter if your riding double and deliberately lug the engine. It has
not done much for the engine temperature , but then both days were in the high 80's and humid. So we'll wait and see on that issue. I have noticed a drop in
gas mileage but its hard to have an accurate baseline as prior to this install I had the HD race fueler in it the bike was getting about 175 to 180 mile on the tank
prior to the fuel warning light coming on. The first tank of gas with the Thundermax installed I got 35.11 MPG, will wait and see on this as well. Because I'm
finding out that I'm not so sure this bike has ever performed correctly since all the modifications I have done since it was new in 2002. But one thing I am sure
of now is that since I installed your product the engine sounds and runs so much better, the cold idle is smoother, when cruising along in 6th gear at 70 to 75 MPH
the exhaust tone is deep and rich and the engine sounds like it is running effortlessly, and the throttle seems much crisper and responds to every little nuance no
matter how small. It just seems to run better throughout the entire range from idle to full on throttle response.
You were correct - I did notice the difference in about 15 minutes and kept noticing for the 200 miles we put on the bike. Will keep you informed as to progress.
We have a great test in mind Michele and I are leaving July 29th for Colorado then Wyoming, then to Sturgis then on to North Dakota into Canada then back
home to Maine. Will let you know how the bike and your product performs. Thank you again for your great product.

Tony,
Just wanted to let you know that the ECM I purchased for my 2004 Deuce works great! I had a power commander and replaced it with the Zippers
ECM mapped for V&H staggered shortshots. The Zippers ECM performs so much better than the power commander. The upgrade in performance
is unbelievable (like night and day). My friends were amazed that your ECM made such drastic results - I was too. Look forward to purchasing your
other products when I begin my motor work! Thanks Again!
